Job Synopsis:
Along with DoTS leadership, the Application Developer provides a key role, leveraging district and technology innovation by using current and cutting edge tools in the support of the staff and students at Highline Public Schools. The Application Developer supports the IT operations team developing applications, websites, and other tools while interfacing with existing district resources as well as third-party applications. This team member will follow all components of the development life cycle and will be expected to work directly with other members of the development, project management and business teams as well as interact with various district-level department staff where appropriate. This team member must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills. In this position she or he will be expected to create technical specifications, build application code, test and implement strategic and complex applications that meet department and district goals. The Application Developer is also expected to provide first-level support for district applications.
